Re:

From the photo on page one, I assume we're talking about Bald Eagles. Here are some interesting facts I found regarding the reproduction of this beautiful bird:

1# Females begin laying eggs in late February.

2# Eggs start to hatch from mid-April to early May.

3# Young fledge in late June to early July.

4# Females usually produce two or three eggs with both parents taking turns at incubation. In captivity, females have been known to produce up to seven eggs.

5# Usually nests are built in trees but if no trees are available, the eagles will nest on the ground.

6# The oldest chick often has the advantage of being the biggest and loudest and will sometimes kill its younger siblings (let's hope that doesn't happen this time).

Re:

It is a live feed of the eagles if you click on the link. And yes to all of your points. The pair we follow have been together for 5 years now. Mom has laid 3 eggs each year with the exception of the first year when she laid two. Mom does about 75% of the 'baby or egg' sitting while Dad spends that time bringing nest material and food for Mom. Their nest is about the size of a King size Bed and as long as there are eggs one is always nearby. They will actually leave the eggs now and then because they can sense when the eggs are too warm. Siblings have never been killed in any of the nests I have followed. They should hatch the first or second week of April and will remain with the Parents until October or even November. During that time Mom and Dad will teach them how to fly then once they are old enough how to hunt.
