My name is Darius Arthur Heisenberg, but most people call me Dare. If my last name sounds familiar, it’s probably because of my great-great uncle Werner Heisenberg. He was a physicist who came up with something called the Uncertainty Principle. But listen, Uncle Werner had no idea how uncertain things really are.

I work for a group, called the Keepers, that label themselves the custodians of time. And, believe me, time is a mess. It needs all the custodians it can get. Which is, of course, why the Keepers selected me, a nineteen-year-old high school dropout, to join them. I recently worked as a janitor for a couple months. Perfect fit, right?

Okay, it didn’t make much sense to me either, but I wasn’t in a position to turn down a steady job and a roof over my head. Besides, all I’m supposed to do is travel through time and save the universe as we know it, how hard could it be?

Yeah, better hold on. This could get ugly.

Found another one on [sign in to see URL] that looks good.

King's Sword

A disillusioned soldier. A spoiled, untried prince. A coup that threatens the country they love.

When retired soldier Kemen finds the young prince Hakan fleeing an attempted assassination, he reluctantly takes the role of mentor and guardian. Keeping the prince alive is challenging enough. Making him a man is harder.

As usurper Vidar tightens his grip on power, Kemen wrestles with questions of duty and honor. What if the prince isn’t the best ruler after all?

Invasion looms, and Kemen’s decisions will shape the fate of a nation. What will he sacrifice for friendship and honor?

FINALLY got a chance to pick up my Kindle again yesterday! Finished R.A. Steffan's book in one [sign in to see URL] was really good!

Now at long last I can get back to the Musketeer Mystery series I was reading. Got hooked over the summer and read the first three. I'm up to book 4, "The Musketeer's Inheritance", by Sarah D'Almeida.

A letter from Gascony calls D'Artagnan home. His father died suddenly and D'Artagnan must come and take charge of the estate. His friends, of course, accompany him. But what Athos, Porthos, Aramis and D'Artagnan don't know is that the older D'Artagnan was murdered and that they must find the killer, if they want to keep the younger D'Artagnan alive.

Re:

The problem with the series is that the first book isn't that great. It almost put me off them, but the second and third books were SO much [sign in to see URL] loved them!

Re: Book Nook

I love the Outlander books Scarlet. Have read them several times.

Another series I can read over and over is the Left Behind - Tim LaHaye and Jerry Jenkins.

I read a lot of genres although horror isn't one I read much of.

Currently reading Louisiana Hotshot: A Humorous New Orleans Murder Mystery; Talba Wallis #1 (The Talba Wallis PI Series)

Re: Book Nook

They also made Outlander into a series for TV. I believe it is on Starz. I saw the first season. Second starts next month I believe.
